Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Kartov account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how.

Option 1 — Delete from within the app

1. Open Kartov and sign in
2. Go to the Settings tab
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
4. Confirm the deletion

Your account and all data are removed immediately. You will be signed out.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email support@kartov.app from the email address tied to your Kartov account with the subject "Delete my account." We will process the request within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (name, email, avatar, auth provider link)
• All lists, list items, recipes, meal plans, custom categories, and activity you created
• Any homes where you are the sole owner (other members are notified)
• Uploaded photos (receipts, recipes, avatars)
• Refresh tokens and push notification tokens

Homes with other members remain intact; you are removed from them.

What may be retained

We may retain minimal records (e.g. transaction logs) where legally required, typically for up to 30 days. These are not linked to your profile after deletion.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Kartov Pro subscription. To cancel, open Google Play (Menu → Subscriptions) or App Store (your Apple ID → Subscriptions) before deleting.
